Some courses are a real challenge, others are fun to play. St.Andrew's Valley is a magical combination of the two.
Located 30 minutes north of Toronto in Aurora, it is built on some of the richest farm land in Ontario. The look can best be described as a large TPC type stadium course. Designed by noted golf course architect Rene Muylaert, the 'Valley' is laid out so there is a beautiful blend of sand, fairway and water on almost every hole. Good Shots are rewarded; and if you end up in trouble, you deserve it. The already rolling terrain is enhanced with additional mounding, so you never get the feeling you are playing beside another fairway.
The course features five tee decks on each hole. This provides an enjoyable day for every level of golfing skill. From the back tees it's US Open distance of 7,300 yards, making it the highest rated course in Canada. From the front it is just 5,600 yards of fun for the ladies. The 'Valley' is a par 72 course, with five threes and five fives over the 18 holes. Built to stringent USGA standards, this championship layout is in prime condition at any time of the season. For you the golfer this translates into lush lies on the fairways and putts that run true on the greens which are kept at a sensible speed.
